Tutorial on how to install yourself the driver for the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850 on Vista 32

Download the desktop drivers:
Driver ATIRun the setup:
once the setup files are extracted, quit the installationUninstall the drivers:

Graphic Card:
ATI Radeon Mobility HD 4850 => uninstall: reboot
So now you will have a low resolution.Open the file:
C:\ATI\Support\9-7_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF\CL_84683.inf
search: "4800 series", in this line (the first which have 4800 series) replace "ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series" with "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850"

Search one driver on my computer:
Put the directory: C:\ATI\Support\9-7_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF
Now click one "let me choose in a list”
Click on “disc provided”, select the modified file:
C:\ATI\Support\9-7_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF\CL_84683
OK
In the list choose ATI Radeon Mobility HD 4850, next, say yes at all warning messages, reboot and it’s done :) just put the correct resolution in the CCC.
I made this tutorial on a french computer, so if i don’t have provided the same translation as vista just follow the pictures.
